Documentary on corruption to be screened Saturday Karasy Geld screens this Saturday, 11 June, taking a closer look into the corruption that led to the revolt
A documentary film by filmmaker Emad Ernest titled Karasy Geld (Leather Chairs) will be screened next Saturday, 11 June at the Cinema Culture Centre. Karasy Geld delves into the corruption that pervaded all aspects of Egyptian life, and which led to the January 25 uprising. Emad Ernest is a filmmaker and artist. He graduated from the Higher Institute of Cinema and in 1993 with his feature film "InvisibleCities.” Ernest has made 13 films including documentaries, experimental pieces, fiction and video art. His film “City Aloe” won the jury prize in the national film festival. The film will be screened at 7 pm at the Cinema Culture Centre in 36 Sherif street, Downtown Cairo.
