CAIRO: Egypt's Grand Mufti, Ali Gomaa, praised the gallery exhibition of Taher Abdel Azem that opened yesterday in Hekma Hall at El-Sawy Culture Wheel. The Exhibition is the second phase of the "Fine Arts Vision for the Prophet's Biography" exhibition. Gomaa said these arts products are a new achievement for Muslims. Gomaa expressed his happiness about the art gallery. He said it succeeded in personifying the Prophet Mohamed's biography in a clear and simple way. "I started the first phase of this artificial panorama two years ago in response to an insult to the Prophet Mohamed,” he said. The second phase began with only eight pictures. It describes the Prophet Mohamed after the revelation with five pictures and some portraits. Abdel Azem praised Gomaa's role in accomplishing these works. "Dr. Ali Gomaa is my main source and advisor," said Abdel Azem. “My wife, a fine arts teacher, helped me greatly in art direction as well,” he added. The first phase of the exhibition raised the conflict of whether art is forbidden in Islam or not, but Gomaa's presence to open the exhibition ended the question. "Islam needs arts to transfer its real image," said Gomaa
