CAIRO: Dozens of people gathered in Tahrir Square on Friday morning to take part in today's demonstrations, called ‘For the Love of Egypt.' Discussions on how to achieve the demands of Egypt's January 25 Revolution were held across the square. Various documents have began circulating in the square, including a statement from the Sufi's attributed to prominent Sufi Sheikh Alaa el Din Abu el Azayem which invited everyone to take part in the protest and reassured Egyptian citizens about protestors. It said those carrying non-Egyptian flags do not represent Egyptian interests but rather moderates whom he asked to join the protest. There was an increase in Central Security Forces and armed forces presence in the square. They positioned themselves at the entrances and exits to the square.
