CAIRO: A state of calm spread in Tahrir Square on the first day of holy Islamic month of Ramadan. The demonstrators are continuing their protests quietly in their tents. Local committees were reduced at entrances into Tahrir. Car drivers, therefore, can move through the now open street leading to Kasr el-Aini Street. However, the protestors re-closed the street after a short time. Protestors held discussions about the cost of court hall in Police Academy in which the former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak will be trialed. This will cost 7 million EGP (U.S. $1.2 million). Some citizens tried to convince demonstrators to end protests. However, protestors refused and said the January 25 Revolution demands have not been achieved yet.
