CAIRO: The Human Rights Delegation's visit to Torah prison ended at 2:30 pm, after lasting more than two hours. The delegation checked the prison facilities and cells, holding more than 38 of the former regime's figures and ministers. The delegation also checked the prison hospital and the room where former Egyptian President, Hosni Mubarak, is supposed to stay when his trial begins, along with checking the jogging areas and the prison's cafeteria. The visit started from the director of the central department of Torah prison, General Abdallah Sakr's, office, who confirmed the visit was held with the approval of the attorney general and the Minister of Interior, Mansour el-Issawi. The former regime's ministers and figures refused to meet the delegation without any reason, said general Abdallah. The delegation managed to meet the former president of radio and TV union, Osama el-Sheikh; the former member of Shura Council, Youssif Khatab; and the former chairman of the industrial development commission, Amr Assal. The cell is ready to receive former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak and it won't need anything extra except an oxygen machine and a bathroom, so a plumber will be needed, said a member of the Human Rights delegation, Amir Salem. The doors of the figures of former regime's cells had dust on them and there were no footprints outside of the cells, which proves the cell doors weren't opened or visited for a week. A member of the delegation, Abdel Ghani said there's a book keeping track of who's in prison but it can't be taken as reliable evidence.
