CAIRO: New investments will be carried out in order to increase production rates of the petrol Wastani Company, said the company's chairman, Farg Suleiman. The company invests $120 m to maintain petrol wells. Two newly discovered petrol wells are being improved by $150 m to become productive wells by 2013. Suleiman denied that the January 25 Revolution has had negative effects on production rates. According to him, production reached 47,000 equivalent barriers on a daily basis. Suleiman expects his company to increase production by 30 to 40 m cubic feet of gas by the end of this year. The Dana Gas Company has announced the recent discovery of Wastani's reservoir which includes 60 b cubic feet of gas. The reservoir is located on the south of Abu Naga gas field. The Dana Gas Company is the sixth company to produce gas in Egypt. Its production has increased by 60 trillion cubic feet. It is one of the greatest exporting companies of gas in Egypt.
