The values of the January 25 Revolution demand a high degree of integrity and transparency in the coming elections, said Mohamed Faek, vice president of the National Council on Human Rights (NCHR). There must also be cooperation with the administrative development office at the Egyptian Ministry of State to train new monitors and organizers of the parliamentary elections, Faek added. These employees will receive a training course in election organization, and the NCHR will oversee that training, said Faek. Faek condemns the accusation that civil organizations are treasonous. The NCHR and the Egyptian Ministry of Development signed a new cooperation protocol for the lead-up to the elections. The protocol includes the training of 160,000 employees in election management, said Minister of Development Ashraf Abdel Wahab. The protocol also maintains international standards of election management and was drawn up according to the public ethics outlined in work charters.
