CAIRO: The question of who will go to the other is what has been raised among lawyers and judges after the recent judicial rule to combine the trials of the former Interior Minister, Habib al-Adly, and former President Hosni Mubarak. The decision will return the case to the 'zero square' as the fifth round of North Cairo's Criminal Court will examine the cases of al-Adly and Mubarak from the beginning, especially that both Mubarak and al-Adly have been accused responsible of the killing of demonstrators during the January 25 Revolution. Dr. Othman al-Hefnawy, a member of the freedom committee of the Bar Association, demanded combining Mubarak's case with al-Adly's, and not the opposite as al-Adly's case has come a long way. He added that the decision that was taken by the court yesterday means that the case will have to be considered from the beginning. After the decision was taken, lawyers and the families of the martyrs of the revolution expressed their refusal to this. While the families of the martyrs described the decision as illegal, the lawyers refused the decision as it harms the situation of the two defendants who have been released before.
