CAIRO: The Cairo Criminal Court ordered to combine both trials of the former Minister of Interior, Habib al-Adly, and his six assistants over the killing of demonstrators during the January 25 Revolution with the ousted Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak's trial. The merged trial will be held on August 3. In related news, TV channel cameras belonging to private companies were prevented from telecast al-Adly and his agents' trial. Egyptian television cameras were the only ones allowed to telecast the trial live. Protests aroused outside the Court among the families of revolution martyrs before the start of the trial. A security barricade was set up around the court. Meanwhile, the martyrs' relatives and families staged a demonstration against al-Adly and called for the toughest convict against him. The demonstrators and martyrs families threw rocks at the armored car that carried Egyptian former Minister of Interior, Habib al-Adly, during its exit from the court. Demonstrators gathered in front of Cairo's Criminal Court after the judicial rule issued to delay the prosecution of the former minister until August 3 to be merged Mubarak's trial. The two former officials are accused of killing peaceful demonstrators during the January 25 Revolution. Clashes erupted in front of the court after the end of the session.
