SANAA, Yemen (AP) — Security officials say a car bomb has killed at least eight army soldiers and wounded scores in Yemen's coastal city of Aden. The officials say the blast took place Sunday near the gate of an army camp as a column of vehicles packed with troops and supplies was preparing to leave for the nearby province of Abyan to take part in fighting against al-Qaida-linked militants. The officials say al-Qaida militants were likely behind the attack. They spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak to the media.
