The Muslim Brotherhood (MB) announced they will participate in the July 29 demonstrations to preserve the Egyptians' rights, as respect for terms of references of the constituent body authorized to put the new constitution. The MB said people expressed their will during referendum back in March. This opinion should be respected, yet there is a small category who want to put a new constitution on disregard of popular will, which the MB thinks is a clear circumvention for the people's will. The MB emphasized what happens in the political scene is considered a violation against the people's rights. The MB also said the people should put together the constitution and approve of it through a referendum. But it didn't come from a certain category without the participation of the people. The MB's statement emphasized the military ruling council must reveal its opinion about these allegations. The MB also criticized what they believe is an attempt to drive a wedge between citizens and the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (SCAF). They appreciate the army's role in protecting the January 25 Revolution and Egypt. The MB also said the attempts to attack army facilities aim to abort the revolution and have chaos prevail in Egypt's society.
