Continued dialogue between Egypt and its partners in the international community is necessary to support governmental efforts to restore economic and social stability in Egypt, according to Fayza Abul Naga, Egypt's minister of planning and international cooperation. Abul Naga said stability is necessary to support Egypt's transition to democracy. Abul Naga met yesterday with Paraguay's ambassador to Egypt, Espírito Yara. The two discussed developments in the Egyptian economy and the economic consequences of recent events in Egypt, which have caused heavy losses in a number of vital sectors. The impact is reflected in Egypt's slowing economic growth rate. The Egyptian government must support economic relations with Paraguay to enhance capacity building and the exchange of experiences and to explore opportunities for cooperation. Abul Naga also stressed the importance of enhancing communication mechanisms between businessmen and the chambers of commerce in the two countries by using modern technologies in software and information technology. This would contribute to the flow of information and data, thus increasing the volume of trade exchange and joint investments. In addition, the twinning project between Cairo and Asunción strengthens the excellent bilateral relations between the two countries.
