CAIRO: The National Association for Change has invited the Egyptian people to spend the first Friday of Ramadan in Tahrir Square. Ramadan is the Islamic holy month, in which Muslims fast from dawn to dusk. Programs will start with the evening prayer, followed by iftar (the breaking of the fast) and the Taraweeh prayer. "The Friday of Dignity will express Egyptian unity, honor the martyrs and celebrate the revolution, " said Ahmed Darag, one of the NAC's leaders. Darag suggested that companies or political parties finance the iftar. The celebration is not only for Muslim but also for Egypt's Coptic Christians. “We aim to hold a day that will be remembered through history,” said Darag.
