CAIRO: Spanish authorities arrested the daughter of fugitive Egyptian business tycoon Hussein Salem, according to judicial sources. The sources told the evening talk show "New Egypt" that the Egyptian judge of the International Cooperation Bureau, Hisham el-Darandaly, sent a letter to the Spanish authorities asking them to arrest Magda Hussein Salem on money laundering charges. The sources said they do not know whether Magda has the Spanish citizenship or not. Her father holds both Spanish and Egyptian citizenship. Meanwhile, Egypt's ambassador to Spain, Ayman Zain, said Magda is under investigation now in Spain. It is worth mentioning that the Cairo Criminal Court has frozen the Salem family's assets since they are accused of money laundering.
