The U.N.'s International Atomic Energy Agency sent a delegation to Egypt on Monday. The delegation will review the conditions at Egypt's first nuclear power station, Dabaa, in light of changes made by Egypt's nuclear authority following the radiation leakage disaster at Japan's Fukushima plant. Fouad Ahmed Saeed, director of the Dabaa nuclear site, said the IAEA delegation came at the request of Egypt's Minister of Electricity Hassan Younis to review and inspect the station. Saeed told Youm7 that the ministry is working on creating shares, but it is unknown when the shares will be released on the market. Implementation of the nuclear program has been delayed until after Egypt holds presidential elections. Egypt's ruling military council decided to suspend the Egyptian nuclear program until the presidential election and the presence of an elected legislature. Parliamentary elections are expected in September, but it is unknown when the presidential election will be held.
