In his first appearance after an assassination attempt, Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh broadcasted an interview from the royal suite in the military hospital in Saudi Arabia. In the beginning of his interview Saleh saluted the Yemeni people. He also said he had eight surgeries to have his burns healed after he was wounded during the explosion in the "Nahdeen" mosque, which belongs to the Yemeni presidential palace. Saleh also expressed his support for dialogue and political participation in Yemen.
