CAIRO: Egyptian youth are preparing Tahrir Square to receive Friday's demonstrators, said Mamdouh Hamza, chairman of the National Council. The youth have prepared umbrellas, banners and platforms. In a phone call to evening talk show Akher Kalam, Hamza said the main reason for Friday's demonstration is the state of frustration Egyptians have felt after their failure to achieve the objectives of the January 25 Revolution. The objectives of the revolution have not been met, said Ahmed Bahaa Shaaban, secretary of the Socialist Party. He added that the former regime still exists and former President Hosni Mubarak's assistants are still in power, circumventing the people's demands. Shaaban called for the Egyptian people to be unified during the next phase.
