Al-Erian: Al-Masry Al-Youm trying to separate NAC

CAIRO: Vice president of the Justice and Liberty Party, Dr. Essam al-Erian, said Al-Masry Al-Youm is trying to drive a wedge between members of the National Association of Change through publishing statements by Dr. Mohamed Morsy. This claim was made in an interview with broadcaster Motaz Matar on 'Modern Horreya' channel.
The editor of Al-Masr Al-Youm, Magdy el-Galad, said the newspaper had no objection to apologize if proven wrong. He asked Dr. al-Erian to watch the video of Dr. Mohamed Morsi. Dr. Erian said he will be watching the video in court.
Al-Erian said prominent Muslim Brotherhood member, Sobhi Saleh, spoke his mind without consideration, contrary to the rules of politics; "We must appreciate the importance of apologies. With Naguib Sawiris, he made a mistake of publishing offensive images but he announced his apology, so we must accept his apology."
"Our enemies are the Zionists and we do not have any animosity against anyone. We want to help get rid of dictatorship and improve Egypt," Saleh said.
El-Erian said Americans are striving to spoil the January 25 Revolution and Mubarak was not only cooperating with the U.S., but also with other parties to be exposed in the upcoming days.
He said there is currently a popular movement for those who feel frustrated and willing to risk a great deal to reach a clear vision of how Egypt should be. The Muslim Brotherhood did not change its mind about taking part in Friday's protests, provoked by the acquittal of former regime figures in charges of corruption. Protests are also against the slow process of dealing with policemen responsible for killing protestors and rebuilding of the police force.
