Netanyahu ordered use of excessive force against Freedom Flotilla II
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered security authorities to deal strictly with the Freedom Flotilla II, calling for the use of excessive force against the attempts of international activists who support the Palestinians and intend to challenge the Israeli blockade of the Gaza Strip.
Natanyahu confirmed, in a meeting held in Ben-Gurion Airport on Wednesday, the necessity of dealing strictly with such actions, which could affect Israeli security. He demanded Israeli security officials avoid friction as much as possible but confirmed Israel's right to prevent the activists from entering Gaza's waters.
The Israeli radio said the Israeli PM began a two-day foreign tour after the meeting, including Romania and Bulgaria.

Israel to replace state of emergency with anti-terrorism law
Marriv said the Israeli government's anti-terrorism committee accepted an appeal, submitted by a number of ministers, to lift the state of emergency in Israel and replace it with an anti-terrorism law.
The committee recommended cancelling some articles that exist in the Israeli emergency law and replacing them with others from the anti-terrorism law. The newspaper added that the administrative imprisonment law may be cancelled in the recent amendments.
Marriv said the Israeli Defense Minister, Ehud Barack, welcome the appeal offered by a number of ministers in this regard.
It is important to mention that the emergency law was passed by the British Mandate in 1945 and has been implemented by consecutive Israeli governments since 1996.

Israeli Kenesset representative escaped from detention miraculously
A member of the Israeli Kenesset, Amir Peretz, managed to avoid an arrest warrant issued by the British authorities in accusations of committing war crimes during the second Israeli war against Lebanon in 2006, when Peretz was the Israeli Defense Minister.
Haartez said the Israeli Justice Ministry knew the possibility of issuing such warrant so it advised him not to travel Britain. Haartez clarified that the Kenesset member refused to cancel his trip to London, expressing his readiness to be imprisoned but not to abandon his visit to London.
Peretz delivered a lecture at the University of London, participated in the Israeli works forum and met with representatives of the Jewish community in Britain.
The Israeli authorities managed to deceive British activists who adopt situations against Israel through sending a false email to London University to tell its officials that Peretz will not attend for personal reasons. The Israeli trick pushed the activists to suspend their measures to issue the arrest warrant against Peretz.
