Former Malaysian Prime Minister Mohamed arrives in Cairo

Former Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamed arrived in Cairo today on a visit that will last four days. Along with a Malaysian delegation, he will meet Prime Minister Essam Sharaf, Minister of Finance Samir Radwan, and Egyptian businessmen.
He will give a lecture tomorrow, and will participate in a conference next Thursday about the shift to democracy, the Malaysian experiment, and how the Malaysian economy has developed. Malaysian embassy officials and members of the Egyptian industry center greeted Mohamed at Cairo International Airport.
