CAIRO: Egyptian Group of Coptic Christians announced they would stage a protest outside the Ministry of Justice headquarters on July 7. They call for a Coptic personal status code. Their Facebook page, “Yes for personal status code for Christians in Egypt,” said the demonstrators demand include concerns about their rights of marriage and divorce. The group noted their demands mean no disrespect to Pope Shenouda III. The group added there are around 300,000 legal cases in the courts concerning personal affairs that haven't had a solution in a long time.
