Dr. Mohamed el-Baradei, former Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency and a potential presidential candidate, refused his supporters' proposal to celebrate his 69th birthday in Tahrir Square, saying, "Egypt is more important." He confirmed that his priority, in the current situation, is to work for our country. Thousands of el-Baradei supporters sent messages on Facebook congratulating him. One of them said, "Happy birthday, you created hope in our hearts," and another expressed hope that el-Baradei will be the next Omar Bin al-Khatib. It is important to mention that el-Baradei celebrated his birthday last year with 138 activists after a meeting to discuss their visions to achieve real change in Egypt. They decorated his cake with Egypt's flag and wrote, "We will change together."
