Public prosecution ordered transferring a lion and tiger to the zoo after inflicting a state of panic amongst the residents of New Cairo. The lion and tiger were inside a villa that is owned by a Saudi businessman. New Cairo's police station received complaints from residents that they saw a lion and a tiger inside a villa, and this had caused them to panic. The police officers went into the villa and found the lion and tiger. The complaint was passed on to the prosecution which ordered the transfer of the predators to the zoo. According to the law, keeping breeding predators amongst populated areas is a criminal act.
