Channel 25 will hold a press conference to launch its new satellite channel on Sunday at 11am. The conference will announce the actual broadcast of the channel which will take place two months after the launch of the channel. The channel will be a new experience for the Egyptian media as its goal is to adopt the spirit, principles and vision of Egypt's January 25 Revolution. It is the first channel which has decided to protect the revolution's demands by depending on the youth in technical and executive management despite their inexperience in the career of media. Mohamed Gohar, the chairman of the channel, said all his employees participated in the revolution. He said the youth of the revolution will now be able to express the spirit of the revolution, and will be credible to the audience. He said Video Cairo, the 40-year-old institution that supports current prominent channels such as Dubai, Mehwar, Abu-Dhabi, al-Jazeera and Orbit, will also support Channel 25. Gohar said the main aim of the channel is to support the demands of the revolution by achieving real change, freedom and social justice. He said this will be achieved through programs that will monitor the opinion of citizens. The program "Samany" will include tours in the streets that will discuss parliamentary elections with citizens, said Gohar. Achieving social justice is the main objective of the channel. The channel will play a program that will host popular gatherings in order to make the demands of the people heard. The presenter of this program will be someone who has lost his eye sight while participating in the revolution.
