The People's Democratic Party has called on the Egyptian government to stop borrowing from abroad and rely on private funds, which contain 36 billion Egyptian pounds, and for the resignation of Attorney General and his aides. In a statement, the party asked to cancel the constitutional declaration announced by Egypt's ruling military council in March and asked for the election of a constituent body to develop a constitution for the country. It also called for allowing law school graduates to volunteer to join the police force and for taking immediate action to stop the threat of “civil war” in the Sinai Peninsula. The party said in its statement that the revolution succeeded in breaking the barrier of fear created by the state and that it should not stop even though some had given up on achieving more for the country.
