CAIRO: Deposed Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak will stand trial for the first time on June 14, announced the Egyptian Administrative Court. Lawyer Samir Sabry appointed a committee of medical physicians to check Mubarak's condition and determine whether Mubarak could be submitted to Torah Prison's hospital. Sabry told the press Mubarak was in good condition on his birthday, May 4. Mubarak was to be investigated by the financial committee to determine his involvement in Egypt's debt case today, Wednesday, said a judicial said. The committee has accused Mubarak of misdemeanors regarding misuse of Egypt's public funds. The investigation also tackled financial corruption and receiving commission from illegal gas export to Israel. The committee said Mubarak is guilty in Egypt's debt cases. Former Minister of Finance Youssef Boutros-Ghali is involved in the same case. The committee is investigating Mubarak's negotiations with the Israeli Minister of Infrastructure and the agreement of exporting gas to Israel at a very low price, the source said. Regarding the case of killing demonstrators in Cairo's Tahrir Square during the January 25 Revolution, Mubarak is being investigated to determine whether he knew to what extent his sons and former National Democratic Party figures were connected with opening fire on demonstrators with live bullets.
