Corinthians coach Tite knows everything about Ahli as the Brazilian giants gear up for the Club World Cup semi-final clash against the African champions on Wednesday. Although his Ahli counterpart Hossam Al-Badri says he had little time to learn much about Corinthians, the Copa Libertadores champions seem wary of their Egyptian contestants. In a lengthy interview with Terra, manager Tite highlighted his opponents' tactical prowess and quality football, mentioning key men like Mohamed Abou-Treika, Walid Soliman and Geddo. “Ahli are an imposing side with players of high physicality," Tite said. “Their players triangulate well, do quality passing and are usually mingled together. “Abou-Treika and Soliman are the team's creative men, they have the speed needed to feed striker Geddo - or any other forward - upfront. “Their first goal against Hiroshima came from a combination of overtaking from the right and some technical quality. “They are a team who play effective football; they are not that sort of team that burn the ball in their feet without pushing forward. “But we saw that Hiroshima created some infiltrations against Ahli and that's what we are going to try to do, especially with players coming from deep." Ahli, who make their fourth appearance in the World Cup, set up the encounter against Corinthians after overcoming Japanese side Hiroshima Sanfrecce 2-1 in the quarter-finals.
