Our mission will be tougher against Corinthians, says Ahly's Fathy Ahly's fullback expects that Wednesday's clash against Brazilian side Corinthians will be very tough
Two days before Ahly's upcoming clash against Copa Libertadores Champions Corinthians in the FIFA Club World semis, Ahly's fullback said that the African champions' mission will not be easy against the team. Ahly reached the competition's semis following Sunday's 2-1 win over Japanese side Sanfrecce Hiroshima. "Corinthians are a great team and I think our mission on Wednesday will be tougher than Sanfrecce Hiroshima," Ahmed Fathy told the club's official website on Monday. "But we don't fear them and the players are determined to make a good result on Wednesday." The 29-year-old, who played a big role in Sunday's win, added that Ahly will miss the efforts of skipper Hossam Ghaly who suffered a serious knee injury. "The absence of Ghaly will be a big loss for the team, especially as he appeared to be in great form during the past games." Ghaly will be sidelined for around four months after he sustained a rupture in his anterior knee ligament.
