Mohamed Salah scored two goals to send Basel to the Swiss Cup last eight with a 3-2 victory over second-division Locarno. The Egypt forward opened the scoring just before half time but hosts Locarno scored twice through Nicolas Mazzola to take the lead after the break. Salah added his second 15 minutes from time to force extra time as Valentin Stocker snatched the winner for the Swiss champions in the 118th minute. It is Salah's fifth goal for Basel and the third in the Swiss Cup since joining from Arab Contractors in the summer. Basel have been dominating the Swiss Cup recently, winning the trophy four times in the last six years.
