Zamalek manager Jorvan Vieira prefers to have striker Razak Omotoyossi out of his squad ahead of the new season. The unsettled Omotoyossi is at loggerheads with Zamalek after the Cairo club had failed to pay his wages for several months. The Benin striker has been absent from training lately and threatened more than once to rescind his contract with the Whites. “I don't need Razak. He is uncommitted in training and I only want committed players," Brazilian coach Vieira told a press conference. “I have already informed the board with my decision not to have him, but they have the final say whether to release him or not."
Omotoyossi, who could lead Benin against Egypt in a friendly game on Friday, said he will only return to training if Zamalek paid his late dues in full. Versatile Magdi Meanwhile, coach Vieira is satisfied with Zamalek's new recruit Ahmed Magdi, who returned to the club on a free transfer from Masri. “He will be a useful player for us because of his versatility. He can play in many positions," he added. Magdi, 26, has been a key member of Zamalek's defense for three years before leaving for Masri in 2010.
