Egyptian wrestler Karam Gaber is considering representing Qatar at the 2016 Olympic Games for being ‘ignored' in his homeland, according to his brother and personal trainer. Gaber fortified his status as one of the best sportsmen in Egypt's history by clinching a silver medal at the London Games, eight years after winning gold in Athens 2004. However, the 32-year-old seems far from happy with wrestling officials in Egypt as his brother revealed an offer from Qatar. “Karam's silver medal achievement was not appreciated in Egypt and this forces him to consider the offer from Qatar," Adel Gaber told alarabiya.net. “He is being totally ignored by the wresting federation in Egypt. They are always fighting against him. “This makes him feel that these people did not want him to win in London!" Although he is 32, Gaber seems willing to give it a go for another Olympic adventure in Rio de Janeiro four years from now.
