Zamalek are capable of overcoming the disappointing Champions League start just like Spain did at the Euro 2012, according to the Whites chairman Mamdouh Abbas. Zamalek succumbed to a dramatic 3-2 defeat at Ghana's Berekum Chelsea in the group stage opener as they still face tough challenges from Ahli and Mazembe. “Even though the defeat was tough, I am confident that Zamalek players can make up for it," chairman Abbas told Zamalek's website. “It is not the end of the world. The players will prove to everyone they are true professionals by qualifying to the semis. “Spain could only draw in their first Euro 2012 match, yet they went on to win the title." Zamalek clash with arch-rivals Ahli in their second group game this month before taking on Mazembe in August.
