New season to kick off in August

The 2012-2013 Egyptian Premier League season should start on August 24 although the date has yet to be officially confirmed.
“We got an approval from the Interior Ministry to resume football activity," Egyptian FA spokesman Azmi Megahed told FilGoal.com.
“August 24 has been set as the date to kick off the new season."
All football activities in Egypt have been suspended since the tragic Port-Said disaster that rocked the country on February 1, claiming the lives of more than 70 Ahli supporters.
Since that date, Ahli, Zamalek and ENPPI have been playing continental home matches behind closed doors.
