Ahli midfielder Mohamed Shawky has been added to the Egypt squad ahead of the 2014 World Cup qualifier against Mozambique. The Cairo club said that the 31-year-old has been called up by Egypt coach Bob Bradley as the national team return from Sudan for a home camp until the Mozambique clash. Shawky comes as a replacement to teammate Hossam Ashour, who is struggling with a groin injury. A few weeks ago, Shawky criticized Bradley for repeatedly leaving him out of the team, adding that the America's choices are ‘disorganized'. Meanwhile, Egypt will be hoping to host Malawi as a final warm-up game before the Mozambique qualifier on June 1, with authorities still reluctant to stage football games in Cairo. The Pharaohs will host the Black Mambas at the Army Stadium in Alexandria.
