CAIRO - Bob Bradley, the technical coach of Egypt's senior football team, praised the role of Zamalek coach Hassan Shehata and Al-Ahly coach, the Portuguese Manuel Jose, in supporting the national team. "Shehata achieved great things for the [national] team before taking on the supervision of Zamalek and he's very supportive of me, dearly hoping that the Pharaohs will qualify for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil," Bradley told the Modern Koora TV channel. "Jose has taught me a lot with his experiences in dealing with and encouraging Egyptian players; we talked a lot about that during my visit to Ahly Club," he added. Bradley's main task now is to take Egypt to the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil; it would be Egypt's third-ever appearance and its first in 24 years. Egypt have been drawn in Group G, alongside Guinea, Zimbabwe and Mozambique, for the World Cup qualifiers. The Egyptian senior team will start their World Cup qualifiers in June by hosting Mozambique. A week later, they will play their second game in the group against Guinea away from home, before facing Central Africa in the ACN qualifiers in mid-June. Bradley stressed that the team have benefited from their latest two training camps, achieving harmony between old and new players.
