Former Masri chairman Kamel Abou-Ali conditioned his return to the club's presidential seat on the retribution for slain Port-Said victims. In the wake of the bloody incidents that saw more than 77 supporters killed following Masri's game with Ahli early in February, Abou-Ali stepped down from his post in solidarity with the slain victims as recent reports suggested he could return. “I fully support the martyrs' families and I am ready to help them by all means available,” the well-off businessman told FilGoal.com. “My return is contingent on retribution against those who killed the martyrs; I don't think I would come back if justice wasn't served. “I will not abandon Masri in the midst of the financial crisis the club is going through. “I am responsible for paying off the players' wages and I won't forsake them in that difficult situation.” Many have been calling for the relegation of the coastal club following their fans' pitch invasion that prompted the calamity as the EFA is set to issue a verdict on the matter.
