While Ismaili said players are frustrated to see their match against Ahli postponed, the league leaders seem to be more annoyed with the decision. The Egyptian FA announced that Tuesday's game between the bitter rivals has been postponed indefinitely due to the parliamentary elections resuming this week. “We are angry with the decision because we've been preparing for the game through a number of friendlies recently,” football director Sayed Abdul-Hafiz told the club's website. “The postponement decision could be extremely be damaging to Ahli. We will now play our first competitive match on December 22. “If we added the league break, we can see that it is a very long period away from competitive football.” Ahli's last competitive game was more than a month ago when they edged out a 3-2 thriller with ENPPI on November 7.
