Egypt U-20 defense star Ahmed Hegazi has been handed an improved contract by his club Ismaili, along with three other teammates. The Dervishes said on their website that Hegazi, Amr Al-Sulaya, Ahmed Khairi and Mohab Saied have been all rewarded with better deals. Hegazi and Al-Sulaya are both with the Egypt Olympic team taking part in the CAF U-23 Championship, which doubles as Africa's qualifiers for the London finals. Highly-rated center-half Hegazi also seems to be on course to become a regular for the senior Egypt team after making his debut under new manager Bob Bradley against Brazil. The 25-year-old, who excelled in this year's U-20 World Cup, has been approached by Spanish Primera Liga side Granada in the summer but Ismaili blocked the move.
