Ismaili have announced the sacking of manager Hossam Hassan, following the team's exit from the Egyptian Cup, the club said on their website. Ismaili were eliminated from the cup quarter-finals after losing 3-1 to Arab Contractors, who were the bottom side in last season's league competition. The shock decision means that Hassan and his new staff have only been charge of Ismaili for a couple of games as the Dervishes beat Bani Suef 4-0 before losing at Contractors. The club said that Mahmoud Gaber will be in charge of the team until a new manager is hired by the board. Hassan's staff, which includes his twin brother Ibrahim as football director, was appointed this summer by Yehia Al-Koumi who stepped down after one month of his arrival. The board of new chairman Raafat Abdul-Azim is now handed the responsibility of finding a new coach for the beleaguered Dervishes.
