Zamalek are on the verge of signing Egypt Olympic team playmaker Ahmed Hamoudi from Smouha, the coastal club said. “The board has unanimously agreed to sell Hamoudi to Zamalek for a fee of EGP 4million,” Smouha vice-president Ismail Fayed told FilGoal.com. “An official from Zamalek shall arrive on Thursday to conclude the deal immediately.” Hamoudi, 21, enjoyed an impressive campaign with Smouha last season, even with the Alexandrian outfit finishing second from bottom. The left-footed midfielder made 25 appearances for the blues, scoring two goals in his first season at top flight. He is expected to become Zamalek's seventh recruit this summer as the Whites are looking to make up for their unsuccessful attempt to sign playmaker Abdullah Al-Saied from Ismaili.
