Ahmed Hassan promises Zamalek fans that the Whites will be able to regain their status as an Egyptian powerhouse next season. The Egypt skipper moved to the Cairo giants on a free transfer from Ahli, who opted not to offer him a new contract. Despite being 36, Hassan seems confident about his ability to inspire Zamalek with the help of new manager Hassan Shehata. “I am used to big challenges and I've usually helped my team win trophies, that's what I promise Zamalek fans to achieve here,” Hassan told FilGoal.com. “I am confident that Zamalek can get back to winning ways with the good players in possession and under the guidance of Shehata. “The eagerness shown by officials during negotiations persuaded me to accept the offer and I hope I can build a good rapport with the Zamalek fans as I've always had done with other clubs.”
