Egyptian FA confirm relegation rule

The Egyptian FA confirmed that the bottom three in the Premier League will be relegated to the second division.
Media reports have said repeatedly that there will be no demotion due to the 'exceptional circumstances in Egypt following the revolution.'
But FA board member Hazem Al-Hawari said: "Smouha, Ittihad and Arab Contractors will play in the second division.
"The Supreme Council for Armed Forces (currently ruling the country) said we can proceed as planned concerning the league structure."
Speculation has been rife that SCAF wanted to cancel relegation in order to avoid protests from angry fans in Alexandria, where Ittihad is the most popular team.
