Talaat Youssef, who was a frontrunner to take over as Egypt manager, has accepted to coach Smouha next season, should the team stay in the Premier League. Smouha have already relegated, as their point tally can't get them out of the bottom three, with just one match remaining in the domestic season. But speculation has been rife that the Egyptian FA is set to freeze relegation for this season and forming a 19-team league next term, after adding the promoted trio. Reports say that this decision will be issued due to 'the exceptional circumstances of Egypt following the revolution.' Youssef has been in charge of Police Union for three seasons and he managed to construct a compact team, well-known of their solid defense. Police are fourth and competing for a place in the African Confederation Cup next season. Smouha are now second from bottom in their first season in the top flight.
