Former Egypt manager Hassan Shehata has been approached by Ismaili to take over as their new coach, FilGoal.com has learnt. The legendary coach, who won three successive African titles with the Pharaohs, has agreed to sit down with Ismaili officials to discuss the offer. Shehata wants to make sure that Ismaili will be able to fulfill his demands for competing for the Egyptian title next season. Ismaili finished third this season and his last title dates back to 2002. A former Zamalek star, Shehata was reportedly set to coach the Cairo giants, as the team lost out on the title, despite leading the table for 15 consecutive weeks. In June, Shehata parted ways with Egypt and was nominated for Oman and Saudi Arabia job.
