Ittihad striker Edet Otobong could be forced to leave the club in the near future because of the financial crisis. The Alexandrian giants, whose long-serving chairman Mohamed Moselhi stepped down after the January 25 Revolution, are in a critical financial condition with debts believed to be over EGP 13million. The lack of funds saw a handful of players, including Otobong, recently forced out of their homes due to the club's failure to pay their respective rents. “I couldn't pay the rent of my apartment because I don't get paid anymore by the club,” the Cameroonian said. “I am looking for a solution to this tough situation and I am currently discussing my future with my agent.” Otobong, who is on a three-year contract, has nine league goals to his name so far, even though Ittihad finished the first half of the season bottom of the table.
