Borussia Dortmund fear that star midfielder Shinji Kagawa will miss the rest of the season after sustaining a foot injury with Japan in the Asian Cup. The talented playmaker pulled out of his nation's final match against Australia on Saturday with a suspected broke metatarsal and the extent of the injury has yet to be determined. However, Dortmund manager Juergen Klopp doesn't seem to be optimistic about the 21-year-old season. “It looks like a break. If it's really a break we don't have a timeframe—the season will be over for him,” said Klopp, who is enjoying a superb season with surprise Bundesliga leaders Dortmund. “But Dortmund has alternatives. It doesn't do anything to think about who's missing for too long.” Kagawa is Dortmund top scorer with eight goals so far this term, keeping Egypt's Mohamed Zidan on the bench.
