Mourinho says only 'special manager' can succeed Ferguson
Published in FilGoal on 31 - 10 - 2010

Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho says that 'only a special manager' can succeed Alex Ferguson at Manchester United's helm.
Sir Ferguson, who will celebrate his 69th birthday in December, is yet to announce when he will step down from his role but there is already widespread speculation over the indentify of his predecessor.
Several tacticians has already been linked with the job, including Everton manager David Moyes and Barcelona's Pep Guardiola.
Speaking of Ferguson's future, Mourinho, nicknamed The Special One, said the scot is not likely to retire any time soon.
"Football without Alex Ferguson? I'm not sure that will happen any day soon," Mourinho told The Mirror.

Ferguson in charge of United since 1986
"The man lives and breathes football and Manchester United is his club.
"His hunger and desire to win the biggest trophies remains so I cannot see the day he considers walking away from football approaching."
About the qualities that a United manager must boast, Mourinho stated: "Like Real Madrid, the Manchester United job is special and only a special manager is good enough to take the job on if and when it does become available.
"Of course, jobs like that don't become available every day so the interest will be vast. Like Madrid, it's a job everyone will want."
Former Scotland coach Ferguson has been installed at Old Trafford since 1986. For nearly a quarter of a century, he led the Red Devils to a host of titles on all fronts.
