Ahmed Elmohamady was delighted with Sunderland's battling draw with Arsenal, expressing his relief after the penalty he conceded was missed. The Egyptian helped his team salvage a dramatic draw with the in-form Gunners, courtesy of a 95th equalizer from Darren Bent. But the Black Cats, who conceded a freak Cesc Fabregas goal early on, almost lost the game in the 75th minute when Elmohamady tripped Samir Nasri inside the area, only for Tomas Rosicky to blast wide. "I was relieved when Rosicky missed the penalty because I didn't want to cost my team. It would have been very difficult for us if he had scored," Elmohamady told FilGoal.com. "I am very happy with the performance of my team and with the late point. I think we deserved it especially after their fortunate goal. "Arsenal are a strong side and drawing against them is a good result. "We have a difficult fixture list, with three matches against Arsenal, Liverpool and then Manchester United, but I hope we could get the best possible results from these games. "I am satisfied with my overall performance which I capped by helping the team score the leveler." Elmohamady played a vital role in the equalizer when he sent a key header into the mix, before the ball reached Bent as Arsenal defenders failed to clear.
