Inter Milan, who have recently appointed Rafa Benitez as new manager, want to sign Liverpool forward Dirk Kuyt, according to media reports. Benitez, who was in charge at Anfield over the past six years, particularly favored Kuyt during his spell with the Reds. The 30-year-old was tipped to work again with the Spanish coach after Inter failed to land Giuseppe Sculli from Genoa. Liverpool will face Trabzonspor in a UEFA Champions League playoff on Thursday. Kuyt's possible move to San Siro will be unlikely should the Premier League side go through. For this reason, Inter are expected to open talks with Liverpool over a deal for Kuyt right away.
