Hussein Yasser said he intends to stay at Zamalek next season despite receiving an offer to join Qatari side Al-Rayyan, the club he began his career with, before the end of the summer transfer window. The Egyptian-born Qatari winger has been a key member of Zamalek's squad since joining last January after terminating his contract with Egyptian champions Ahli. "My agent told me that Al-Rayyan want to sign me, either on loan or on a permanent basis," Yasser, who played for the seven-time Qatari champions from 2000 to 2002, said on Wednesday. "But I want to continue playing for Zamalek next season, I have no desire to leave." Yasser played a pivotal role in helping Zamalek make up for a disastrous start to their Egyptian Premier League campaign last term. He dished out several assists and scored two goals as the Cairo giants, who faced the unthinkable prospect of being relegated to the second division early in the season, finished second behind champions and arch-rivals Ahli. Yasser, who usually plays on the right of a three-pronged attack, is likely to retain his regular place in coach Hossam Hassan's starting XI next season. "I want to stay but the technical staff and the club's board of directors will have the final word over my future," the 26-year-old added.
